Okay, what the hell is going on with the comments? I was an active user back in 2008 and have drifted away from AG. I do not know any of you and I'm definitely not who you think I am.
Leave me alone ^_^.

And yet Israel claims to be David here, but respond with overwhelming force, and hypocritical insecurity, leading them to take increasingly absurd steps to artificially maintain their Jewish character.

It kind of died off because no one really knew much about economics, and also because of the blame game the European users liked to play. I still think the Europeans spent disgusting amounts on welfare doleouts, and Greece has such a tremendously large and generous one, it was bound to sink. Austerity measures are needed, but since no one likes to budge on what they have, it'll be painful, but it has to go through. That's my take.
And thank you very much! But I was looking more pre 2000, since my paper is pre 2000. Like, whether the subsequent 1967 and Yom Kippur Wars, and Arab (not Palestinian) hostility was caused more for the desire to get back land lost in the wars (Egypt and Syria), and for the aim of Pan Arabism (Nasser), rather than actively supporting an independent Palestinian state. After all, Egypt,Jordan have already signed peace treaties, so how committed were they to the Palestinian cause and how much of the conflict was caused by opposition to Israel's right to exist as compared to various other reasons?

Skyla, I have a question for you since you did research on the AI conflict. :D
Arab refusal to accept the right of Israel’s existence has been the principal cause of conflict in the Middle East.’ How far would you agree with this assertion?
